Maude Johnson est autrice, commissaire et consultante en art contemporain. À travers l’écriture et le commissariat d’exposition, elle s’intéresse aux pratiques performatives, aux explorations matérielles et aux interconnexions entre nature et culture. De 2017 à 2023, elle œuvre au sein de MOMENTA Biennale, où elle participe à la définition stratégique, au développement de la vision commissariale et à l’amplification du rayonnement de l’organisme. Après quinze années exceptionnelles à Tiohtià:ke/Montréal, elle quitte le Québec au printemps 2023 pour s’installer à Squamish, en Colombie-Britannique, entre les montagnes et l’océan, afin de suivre sa passion pour l’escalade.

Maude Johnson is a writer, curator and consultant in contemporary art. Through her writing and curatorial work, she explores performative practices, material experimentation and interconnections between nature and culture. From 2017 to 2023, she worked with MOMENTA Biennale, contributing to its strategic planning, shaping the curatorial vision and expanding the organization’s reach. After 15 remarkable years in Tiohtià:ke/Montréal, she left Quebec in the spring of 2023 for Squamish, British Columbia—where the mountains meet the ocean—to fulfil her passion for climbing.
